THE VARIOUS ROLES OF REPETITION IN FEMALE EFL TEACHERS’ SPOKEN DISCOURSE

This research focuses on analyzing the various roles of repetition that appear in female EFL teachers’ spoken discourse. The subjects were two English teachers who teach Senior High Schools Gowa Regency. They taken by using deliberate or purposive sampling. details were, each teacher was from SMA INSAN CENDEKIA SYECH YUSUF GOWA. instruments interview, video recording, and documentations. Based data analysis, it gathered several results; first, there five which frequently appeared discourse namely, as participatory listenership, ratifying expanding, evaluation through patterned rhythm, humor (Tannen, 2007), expanding most dominant. Second, decide to employ implement their oral communication three phases, namely identification, determination, (Simon, 1977).
